GOOD QUESTIONS

A few things worth knowing.

Straight answers about submissions, placements, payments, and the leaderboard.

What is SpotBid?

SpotBid is a directory of AI tools with paid placements. People discover tools; makers choose how much to spend on visibility. Higher confirmed spend puts a tool higher on the board. A rank is an advertising position, not a product review.

Do I need an account?

No. Browsing and boosting an approved tool do not require an account. When you submit a new tool, save the private link you receive. It lets you check review status and start your first placement.

How much does it cost?

Your first listing starts at $10. After that, you can add at least $1, including on a fresh daily board. You choose a new whole-dollar total and pay the difference from your current credited total, with a minimum increase of $1. To overtake the current leader, your new total must be at least $5 higher.

What happens if someone outbids me?

Your tool moves down according to the updated totals. Its credited spend stays on the all-time board. You can increase your placement whenever you want. We do not promise a position, a number of views, or clicks.

How does the daily board work?

Each payment contributes to the day it is confirmed, using UTC. At 00:00 UTC the daily board starts fresh. The same payment also adds to the all-time board. Previous days are available in the daily archive.

Why do tools need approval?

We check relevance, the destination website, and the listing description before accepting payment for a new tool. Submissions must be useful AI tools or AI-powered apps with a working public website.

How do I know my tool was approved?

Open the private status link shown after submission. The page updates while you keep it open. Once approved, a placement button becomes available. Status links are not sent by email automatically.

Can I promote an existing tool?

Yes. Use Boost beside its listing, or on the product page. Anyone can support an approved tool. Submitting the same website again does not create another listing or grant permission to edit it.

When will my payment appear?

A placement is credited only after Stripe confirms successful payment. Some payment methods settle later. A checkout return page alone does not confirm payment. The leaderboard refreshes every 30 seconds while visible.

How are ties and refunds handled?

Tied totals are ordered by the first confirmed placement time, with the older listing first. Refunds remove the refunded amount from the original payment’s daily and all-time credit. Active or lost disputes remove that payment’s ranking credit.

Can I change or remove my listing?

Contact support from the email used for your submission and include your website. An administrator can review edits, pause a listing, or resolve access issues. Do not share your private status link publicly.

Is a refund available?

If a payment or listing is incorrect, contact support with the Stripe receipt or order reference. Requests are reviewed individually; a lower rank or fewer clicks than expected is not by itself a promised refund condition. Your mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.
